Although I was born on foreign shores
In a silent, seaside town---
My goal was soon to cross that sea
A better future to be found.
I crossed the ocean valiantly
Working my way from shore to shore;
I landed in New York Harbor
Greeted by Lady Liberty's open door.
Now I know no other homeland
The USA is the place for me---
I pray God's grandest blessings
Upon this nation founded to be free.
Bless O Lord, all creeds and colors
As they also to America roam;
God please keep on blessing America
