Good Friday was no sort of sweet peace
For it brought upon Christ dire woe;
The flow of blood brought my sin's release
My sins stood shattered as His red blood flowed.
Good Friday brought the devil distress--
As Christ's Kingdom he sought to overthrow;
But Christ's Victory caused death to cease,
God white-washed the world whiter than snow.
Because of Good Friday my soul is now fed
My heart is stirred--my future bright;
God has done just what He well-said---
Good Friday proved Christ's awesome might.
Bad Friday for Him, was Good Friday for me
Come to the Savior and you too shall see!
